How to change line spacing in Google Docs in a Mobile Environment:
If you plan on using Google docs on a mobile, remember line spacing ranges only from 1 to 2. While this is the case by using a mobile, on the desktop version you get many more options including a custom option as well.
In case you’re working on a document from the desktop, any spacing that you use will be automatically applied when you open and work on the document from a smartphone or tablet. In case you apply a particular line spacing from a tablet or smartphone, you’ll be limited to only four options- 1, 1.15, 1.5 and 2.
How to Work on Google Docs
So getting to the point of how to change line spacing in Google Docs from a phone or tablet- you first have to open the Google Docs app. Once you have the app opened you have to select the file you wish to edit. After you have the file of your choosing opened, click on the icon that depicts a capital “A” with horizontal lines besides it.
Once the pop up window opens up select “Paragraph”. Under the option for line spacing press the top arrow to get to the spacing of your choice. Voila! You’re done.
How to change line spacing in Google Docs on a PC:
Learning how to change line spacing in Google Docs from a PC is much the same way, only here you’ve more options to choose from. Open the document you wish to edit. Once open, press on the icon that shows an arrow with horizontal lines besides it.
Then it is a simple case of choosing the spacing you would like. You can choose from the preset options or you can customize your line spacing. If you do choose to customize your line spacing, then you’ll get a window that asks for line and paragraph spacing. Enter your requirements and select apply.
